What Is Sea Moss?


Sea Moss commonly know as Irish moss, is a sea vegetable that is PACKED with essential minerals- Scientifically, it is know as Chondrus crispus.

Sea Moss is seaweed or algae, and a very well known edible sea plant.


Since the pandemic Seamoss has become very popular, due to it's many benefits! It grows in a variety of colors, and is low in fats, calories, and sugars. Recently, it has been very popular because of its antiviral and antimicrobial properties.

Sea Moss does have a strong sea like flavor which can turn some people off- but the results and benefits are well worth the taste! Sea Moss can be paired well with any smoothie that has oat, coconut, or almond milk. It also can be paired well with bananas, in soup or with Applesauce!


A 4 tablespoon (20 gram) serving of raw Irish sea moss provides the following:

- Calories: 10

- Protein: 0.5 grams

- Total carbs: 3 grams

- Fiber: 0.5 grams

- Calcium: 1% of the Daily Value (DV)

- Iron: 10% of the DV

- Magnesium: 7% of the DV

- Phosphorus: 2% of the DV

- Zinc: 4% of the DV

- Copper: 3% of the DV
